Idk if I can or want to do the socializing thing at a bar. Kinda feel too old to suck up and play pretend with those people in a bar environment..
And indeed, I won't mind doing boring work and sucking up a bit at work for that sweet cash money and benefits 😎
The employment agencies are specifically for jobs in the finance sector, but none of those employees know nothing about finance..
I'll just keep adding certificates and keep trying to talk my way in.

Yeah I understand the normies want to see some certificates. I got my monetary history certificate from Saylor.org but that's about it. I'm planning to try get some more certificates through that. I'm also a bit under time pressure, so can't really commit to courses that might takes several months.
I do have big brass balls and I know I'm competent enough to explain my knowledge and experience in investing, but I'm getting cockblocked by the employment agencies here (they aren't involved in finance at all, they just do recruitment).
As soon as they see I don't have any financial school education, they automatically dismiss my application and I don't even have the chance to talk to anyone involved in the finance sector.
Thanks for the feedback and compliment. I'll try to put some work in it.

2026-08-31 18:40:35 UTC

I know this is a long shot, but I'll try it anyway.
Due to some hip issues, I'm trying to switch career path and I'm preferably looking to start working as a financial advisor.
I have positive investment experience with trading cards, gold, stocks and Bitcoin.
Thanks to Bitcoin I also managed to get a good grasp on Austrian economics, monetary history, the principles of money, fiat issues, risk management, etc..
I'm guessing I have a better understanding of money and investing than most "normie" investment advisors and I probably outperformed most of them too.
Any advice or recommendation to get my foot in the door in this sector would be highly appreciated.
