I bet there’s loads, esp in wales where the govt is trying extra hard to screw airbnbs.
It’s a family biz for me so tricky to get out of. I kept my stack but it’s a second job with no pay and the property isn’t even appreciating either. Just very demoralising.

I’ve been running an Airbnb in north wales for 3 years now, here’s some advice for anyone thinking of doing the same… 🧵

I wouldn’t mind dealing with moronic Airbnb guests if there was any profit for the endless hours that going into running the fucking thing.

GM just got woken up by the fire alarm because my Airbnb guests decided to light the wood burner using self lighting charcoal bags. It’s June. Why are people so retarded.

Just caught a deer in my garden! Didn’t think there was any in Snowdonia. The bastard had a go at one of my apple trees, poor things can’t catch a break, they had sheep munching them a couple of years ago

Ah man, apparently this is a pattern for Airbnb guests chancing it.
Ffs, now I’ve got to apologise to the cleaner!

Just had some guests in my Airbnb, they gave us a 5 star review and said they had a great time and loved the house. They added a private note that some of the cutlery was dirty and a few other minor issues. I apologised and explained it’s difficult to check everything on a tight changeover. Now they’re asking for a partial refund… what?!

The best air conditioning during a heatwave, simply find your local disused lead mine and stand by the entrance for a while.

Just hooked up Asana MCP server to Claude code so I can just paste tasks in and get the clanker to do a first draft while I go and do something else.
Don’t tell my boss 😉

End grain chopping boards are a pain in the arse. I decided on my first attempt to make 4 at once with mixed species of wood - that was a pretty dumb idea!
I had so many issues with gaps appearing as the wood moved and they’re not perfectly flat as they were when I planed them.
They’re not too bad though, a wet paper towel should level them and hopefully the gaps don’t open up now they’ve been oiled.
If I did it again I would only use 1 species and make sure it was super dry.

Running the s19 to capture curtailed solar today. Getting around 50th/s for essentially free energy. There must be so many home solar systems that are missing out on this
