I haven't spread any misinformation. I said the mercenaries are made up of the working class, not that all workers are these mercenaries, but that these mercenaries are mostly or entirely made up of workers, which statistically must be the case since workers make up the majority of any society, and it's not likely that capitalists are out fighting their own battles.

It's kind of hard to not lose faith in humanity when the mercenaries who insist that there's no other way than #capitalism not only make up many humans, but which is made up of the working class, the ones who suffer the most from capitalism, yet are the ones who defend it with their lives. If not humanity, then at the very least, I lack any faith or hope in human intelligence and common sense.

And you must have memory loss so I'll say this again: I'm not saying people shouldn't learn from the past or make up who they are from scratch, only that when they're doing so they should try to be original instead of just copying people exactly. 2/2

You were the one putting words into my mouth by suggesting that I was saying that people shouldn't learn from the past when I never said that, so you're in no position to start falsely accusing me of the same thing. People being exactly like other people who are different from the status quo is still then being unoriginal; the people they're copying being different from most people doesn't make it not being original; they're still copying their personality, i.e., being unoriginal. 1/2

Being like someone else, whether they're from the past or present, is not being original, so you were recommending that people not be original, and for the last time, I never said people shouldn't learn from the past. All I suggested is that people should be original and not try to be like other people, whether from the past or present, not that they shouldn't learn from others.

I believe you're right.
I'm no reformist, but it's clear to me that US workers are in no position to have a socialist revolution.
The focus now should be on unifying all of the working class's individual and isolated struggles against certain sections of capitalism into one big collective struggle against the very existence of capitalism, primarily by supporting/creating unions, strikes, etc.
Then, one day, revolution will be possible.

I think this version of the meme makes much more sense. Blaming the climate crisis solely on white people isn't correct or useful. Most white people aren't in any position of authority to directly do anything about the climate crisis on their own. It's the rich capitalists who are solely responsible for the climate crisis.

All communist don't want a vanguardist dictatorship like the Soviet Union. The dictatorship of the proletariat is clearly (to anyone who's read Marx) class supremacy of the proletarian class, who is the vast majority of capitalist society. The DotP is majority supremacy, not autocratic rule. And yes, communist support the suppression of the exploiting bourgeois class just as any oppressed people want the suppression of their oppressors.

The Bolsheviks did indeed initiate a coup, but it wasn't counter-revolutionary. The capitalist provisional government was established after the February Revolution, made up of liberals and moderate socialists who wanted to keep Russia in WW1, and the Bolsheviks took advantage of the instability of the government to overthrow it and establish a proletarian dictatorship. Abolishing capitalism to create socialism is the opposite of counter-revolution.

Don't be surprised by the #MahmoudKhalil incident. As #capitalism goes further into its late stage phase, it will shed its liberal and democratic facade and take on a more authoritarian and violent character that more reflects its actual nature, all to preserve its existence. It's only going to get worse from here, so you'd better get organized with other working-class people to prepare to fight back. Join an existing leftist party (suggestion: https://www2.pslweb.org/join) or create your own group.

Secondly, what you're asking for, anarchism, immediate state abolition, is completely unrealistic. The state can't be abolished with any lasting success until class and class distinctions are abolished, and that won't happen just by abolishing the state. Abolishing the state doesn't make the class beliefs of people spontaneously dissappear. People's class beliefs will still exist, and unless they're repressed with force, with a state, capitalism will be restored. 2/3

95% of Chinese citizens support the central government according to an independent study by Harvard.
CENTRAL PLANNING dictates China's economy in the form of five-yeват plans.
China executes more corrupt billionaires, than any nation on the planet. In China, billionaires do not constitute a ruling class. They are subordinate to the Communist Party.

Here's an alt-text for the image:
CHINA IS NOT CAPITALIST
CHINA IS SOCIALIST
All land and natural resources in China are owned by the Communist Party of China, with the exception of some farmland, which is owned collectively. Land in China can only be leased, not owned.
68% of China's GDP in 2023 was generated by State-Owned Enterprises (SOES). SOEs own 60% of China's total assets as of 2021.

In my opinion, North Korea has the best system today. I'm not talking about the fake portrayal of North Korea that Western media presents. I'm talking about the real North Korea, the one with free housing, free education, free healthcare, and no homelessness, and all of this despite everything the country's gone through, while America, a far wealthier country, has the exact opposite.

Capitalism requires capitalists to extract surplus value from workers (i.e., stealing the majority of the wages that workers generate through their labor) and reinvest it back into their businesses, as well as keeping much of it for themselves, which strengthens the capitalist system while simulation widening the class divide and increasing income inequality. All of this inevitably leads to oligarchy, authoritarian capitalism, whatever you want to call it.

Replace "authoritarian capitalism" with just "capitalism." Capitalism is inherently authoritarian. There's no need to reiterate. Plus, saying "authoritarian capitalism" sort of implies that there is some version of capitalism that doesn't ultimately lead to oligarchy, which isn't true.

After spending a considerable amount of time on the socialist and communist parts of REDnote, I've noticed a difference between it and Mastodon. On REDnote, people tend to focus more on educating people on communist and socialist culture and theory, whereas on Mastodon, people seem to most focus more on criticizing capitalism. Both are obviously important, but I found this difference interesting.

Marx warned us nearly 200 years ago. Are you going to listen? Read the Communist Manifesto, and tell others to read it.

I'm starting to feel like America telling us that communist countries having poor citizens with horrible technology, barely enough food, and poor education is simple projection. The reality appears to be the opposite.

Everyone can be convinced to hate capitalism, but some people are more easy to convince than others, and those people are who you should focus on.

Don't find people who love capitalism and try and convince them to hate it. Find people who already hate capitalism and convince them to hate it a little bit more.

More than ever, it is clear that working and oppressed people must unite to fight this effort and to reject every attempt at the division they attempt to sow among us. The ruling class doesn’t have us outnumbered. They just have us out-organized. [FULL ARTICLE ABOVE]
