Nostr: a place for expounding on the virtues of having large families, eating meat, circular economies, lifting heavy weights, and touching grass.
Also Nostr, a place for nyms, Permissionless Money, anarchy, and drugs.

I am referring to Flotilla's messenger. It's not even a core use case for that app. But it's better than about any other client for messaging UI.

@nprofile…u0w6 designed one of the nicest messengers in Nostr. The format/design is one of the easiest to read, and messages come through quickly.
I hadn't really paid attention to messaging before since it largely sucks on Nostr in general and isn't used often with human communication, but Nostr is fantastic for communicating with AI agents.
NIP 17 is better than Telegram by a country mile for private communication with a personal agent.
If any developer isn't fully satisfied with messaging over Nostr, now is the time in history to fix it. More agents and robots will be using it and they will flood the nodes with an ungodly amount of volume.

@nprofile…xwkc when will you work with Square terminals? I'm itching to use my Bolt card as my daily driver

Social is the least interesting part of Nostr. The people that use Nostr, though, are the most interesting. Check out what was just built on Nostr.

You don't know? Publishers have song writers and data. They DO create variations of the same tune and lyrics, then find artists to perform it.

I got over food addiction. Every bite was euphoria. When I heard drug addicts describe their experience, I'd realized my relationship with food was similar. I'd since lost over 100 lbs in 12 months and still take my weight management one week at a time.
I'm still a weirdo who uses Nostr, but since everyone loves a fucking winner, they look past that and comment more on my looks now.

I think @nprofile…szx8 's Orange Juice is going to start a wave of Bitcoiners buying businesses to buy more Bitcoin. I'd been doing this for almost two years now, and it's legit. I know of companies doing this for over a decade. There's probably many such stories, and this will raise the profile of the approach.

Sadly, it's the worst of possible situations, and that's why the laws are in place. If that's actually occurring, the victims are our most vulnerable population. Not something to hope for. But if occurring, cannot be ignored.

As for the legality, those change, and so I am not going to speak to specifics, but I would say broadly, when the burden is taken off of the healthcare provider's shoulders, I don't see why they would have to carry infrastructure to protect it beyond ensuring their ACCESS to it doesn't compromise the patient. Because the relationship goes from stewardship of the patient medical information to access of patient medical information. And I think Nostr has means of methods for that. The patient becomes the coordinator of their own medical records. That shift is what drops the costs and bureaucracy for providers.
So take a doctor who practices concierge or direct pay medicine- something already aligned with high agency people who use Nostr and/or Bitcoin- their new patient onboard process could be directing their patient to download a turnkey home server app, or blossom drive setup, instructions on when and how to setup their medical records- and with AI migrating off of traditional systems such as Epic are dang near automated- and how to open access to select medical data. Billing can be done over a variety of tools that integrate both fiat and Bitcoin, and care can be scheduled using a variety of remote tools or in person.
In my mind, it simplifies a medical practice so much, it almost seems too simple to explain because it is a vastly simplified experience. Nostr just removes so much heavy lifting a doctor has to do administratively, their practice can focus more on patient care because the patient controls their own data.

For internal comms, if your team is remote, and can manage the migration, it probably is, just for the uptime alone. Nostr doesn't go down.
For comms with customers, depends how you have them identified in your CRM, I'd think. If you need their email addresses, or another function to tie back to their paying account, I don't know.
Note that I've not used Armada. I am shocked Telegram is so popular amongst Bitcoin companies, for communicating with clients/customers. Normies want surveillance tech. As in if you use something that is specifically private, they think that is abnormal.

I do. It's the first app I tell new Nostr users to download because it makes every other Nostr PWA a better experience inside of it. In fact I'm running @nprofile…m0xe inside it right now (a gorgeous experience if you've not tried it). The built in extension and wallets are better than the automatic app switching between 3rd party signers.

If it's not synced, don't you have to wait for it to do so before validating your transactions? Sounds inconvenient. Why not just run it on a server and tunnel in?

I used to think Bitcoin was the mind virus and we're the freaks.
But then I came to realize as I spend more time with more Bitcoiners, we're the only sane people in this world. #note1mv2…qfn5

Since sticking to open source apps on my phone and paid services from big tech companies, I've not seen an ad in ages.
I hadn't even realized it until speaking with a normie whose online experience is defined. He mentions something, and is flooded with ads for it everywhere he goes online.
I'd forgotten ads were even a thing. Advertisers probably had forgotten about me, too.
This is what dying in obscurity looks like and it's beautiful.

We're about to enter a currency war with the world. And we'll probably win it. If the regular Joe anywhere in the world stores their value in US stable coins, and accepts stable coins for payment, and pays in stable coins, all instead of using their local currencies, the whole world opens up to U.S. investment.
Whereas before, Americans would struggle to earn a return outside of a few fast paced markets that could grow faster than their currency would weaken against the dollar, stable coins pegged to the dollars means Americans can enter fast growing economies and earn a return in dollars at the same time. The sounder money helps people.
Now imagine if the world worked on #Bitcoin. https://video.nostr.build/d2a700c77480c78c4344585647a350a864cbd24949b067ecbb5fc8643f5b5531.mp4

I'll never forget a city cutting down its own wooded areas for a bocce ball court. The closest bocce ball league - the actual evidence of demand - was a state away.
