I tried to search for this but I don't think I found what you are talking about. But Shutterstock did offer me 21'000 dead cow images! Nice.

That's a really sharp analysis—not only does AI stick to certain tropes it also uses a specific collection of clichés.

SciPy has sparse matrices and arrays. So you can do math on them in efficient ways and not have to diy it on dictionaries.

I hope you intend to play with them.
Flip 7 is fun and you don't have to learn a lot of rules or make many choices (push your luck)
Magic Athlete is wonderful in the way complexity arises from simple rules (fast paced roll and move).
And Ticket to Ride is a classic for a reason - try to find a version that plays a bit faster than the original (don't really know the genre, I guess set collection and path making?).

But they reduce the risk of things like kidney disease and cardiovascular disease, right? So for some patient groups it's going to be budget neutral or positive.

You don't have to reserve a table. But it's a good option to have since many evenings are very busy. Especially at the one in the center of Copenhagen. If you're in Valby or Nørrebro it's usually much easier to grab a table without a res.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: as long as the success criterion for economic interventions is increased price of investments (stock market, real estate) and static salaries / goods then the world will not become a better place.
And I'm blaming the economists (sorry).

No, while the buck stops with the surgeon the other people in the operating theater (and outside it) are also individually responsible. With an AI coding tool the "surgeon" has all the responsibility. With non-AI tools there can even be defects and bugs that you can blame others for but not with the AI tool. That's always on the person wielding it.

You can't even maintain plumbing and electricity when you have less than £4500 per year for upkeep for a whole school. That's not possible. Do any PMs send their children to state schools?

When I took molecular neurobiology we had a talk from a scientist that worked on depression in rodents. They made the rats depressed by stressing them. Some event in the morning and another in the afternoon. Noise, water, flashing lights. Anhedonia was used as a proxy for depression (because you can't talk to a rat) and measured via sugar water consumption. I think about those experiments sometimes. Sometimes more than others.

Denmark did the "Actually, no new taxes means that property taxes will be fixed at their current absolute value rather than just not increasing taxes" thing in 2001 and we are finally untangling it now and it's a shitshow. Can't imagine how bad it must be after 34 years.

Yeah, it would be better if it was working. I also like the forgiveness element of Catholicism but that provided a perverse incentive to make more things something to feel guilty about so the church would have more power.

I'm as atheist as they come but this sounds like an argument in favour of religion. If a large fraction of the population is unable to make moral choices without religion then I am very much in favour of religion.
