Now the siverberries are red and I'm competing with birds. 🙄💦
The berry has some bitterness until it's fully ripe,
so it's a narrow window between me picking or them pecking. 🐥🍒✨️

😗 In a corner of the garden, among browned plants, the unknown tomato-like vines grow vigorously.
🔎 It seems to be Asian 'Solanum lyratum', and as it looks like a tomato/eggplant, it's surely poisonous. ☠️
...Funny it has a Japanese name 'lark's favorite' (ヒヨドリジョウゴ). 🤔🐤💦

Excuse me, but 'kabocha' isn't Japan's native plant (although widely mistaken in Japan),
and 'pumpkin' and 'squash' are linguistically the same thing outside the UK/US...

2024-12-22 00:10:29 UTC

I wonder how many foreigners may believe
that the Japanese have a tradition of eating pumpkins🎃 on the day of the winter solstice... (which I haven't done anyway. 😗)

💪✨️ I'm doing 'branch twisting' on the plum trees.
...It's a technique of bending vertical shoots into horizontal without hampering their growth, usually seen in apple orchards. 🍎🍏
I hope they would contine to bloom in the climate change. 🙏🌸

The tea trees in the garden are now in bloom.🍃🏵️
Although it isn't in the pictures, the trees also have their developing seeds that were pollinated last year on them, which would eventually scatter after the flowers fell off.

then the reason.
