Today I put myself down on a waiting list for a plot on another allotment site. This year’s been a battle against a lot of things but it has worn me down.
I will keep my current plot but the other site feels more me. The sites are only a couple of streets away from each other.
A lot of work goes in to keeping allotment sites going, please don’t take the volunteers who help run your site for granted where you are.
If they ask for help and you are able to do so, please do. They will appreciate your efforts. #Allotment

Just spoken to the vet. Second opinion is Ernie’s prostate is not enlarged and the problem is now thought to be gastrointestinal. No op needed. He’s eating well and they’ll keep him under observation. We have an appointment booked for 6pm and all being well will be able to bring him home this evening. #DogsOfMastodon

Making multiple compost piles is a bit like spinning plates. One pile sifted, one pile turned, one pile started and one hot pile ok to be turned in two days.

We had our SGM meeting today and as a result we can now dissolve our current allotment association and convert to a cooperative society Ltd.
Our local council required us to do this as a pre-requisite to negotiating a new lease.
We have also voted in a biodiversity policy for the site. Both are the first steps forward in the right direction for the future of our site.
I struggle through these kind of meetings. I am mentally exhausted.
