President Jimmy Carter turns 100 today! The first president in history to do it! Good for him. #Politics

Is this for the Mastodon app or the API itself?

People are absolutely ridiculous nowadays. It's insane that there are a loud subset of folks who hate the governor of a state so much just because he's the leader of a red state, that they'll hope that a hurricane actually causes his death and the deaths of others. Just why? This is why the US is falling, because nobody wants to actually be a human being for once and have empathy.

I know people want a Universal basic income because its free money without any work, but I tell you, the corporations who'd be funding it would be finding a way out of paying it, hell, if I was a big corp, I'd leave the state where its a thing entirely and if all states have it, leave the country and invest heavily in Asian countries. #USPol

I'd love to learn how to use a sewing machine. Is it actually possible to use one correctly while totally blind? #Blind, #Sewing, #Crafting

It is the responsibility of the companies who make AI and the users to use AI for good purposes.

2024-09-04 10:33:27 UTC

People who are against #AI are against progress itself. Sure, it has its issues but that's because those who are unable to see the positives simply do not look for them for example, AI is the way that me as a #Blind person is able to get descriptions that sighted people wouldn't want to write themselves. It is the way that at some point, i might be able to drive, something which sighted people take for granted because they can just get a license and drive where they want, while I have to struggle to even get to the grocery store. There are so many benefits to it so I'm pro AI all the way. #Technology, #Progress, #Computers, #cars

I agree with you, though I know there are social standards to follow with fashion that I must keep. I kind of want a sexlife and can't do that if I look weird as hell.

Kind of hard when its your mother and she's the one cutting my hair. Honestly better than paying $15 for a professional to do it, but if I move to California, I'm getting my own style and fuck the consequences.

Trust me, if I could look in the mirror, i would but i'm blind and therefore, can not begin to see myself in a mirror plus, it'd be weird no? but I know nothing about sight so I guess its normal.

2024-08-29 10:06:24 UTC

I don't like haircuts that much because I really only look good with one style and that's a buzzcut. Apparently, any other style and its like i'm automatically a monster. Tried a mohawk once and it didn't work out too well. Such is the lot of a person who doesn't understand hairstyles, oh, and all this was told to me by sighted people who must be right because they can see how I look, at least, according to my mother. IDK, I find the whole sighted population weird sometimes.

I fear that with the rise of insel culture, it will continue to get worse unless its stopped altogether. There should be camps for these sorts of folks where they are re-educated and after they are, given a few months of probational status to slowly put them back into society as real normal men.

i appreciate your opinion on this matter. i know that my brother told me too, but when it comes to drugs, I want to be very aware because I'm not taking any chances. Gonna get a second opinion from a doctor tomorrow to make sure that the first diagnosis wasn't incorrect.

i have a question. Does that same drug give you the same kind of high a dab would? See, I did one once and since then, I've not considered drugs of any sort because of the high level of heart pounding and dizziness it caused, even though I was also diagnosed with ADHD. I really don't need problems because I'm simply just trying to focus, not get super high to the point I'm light-headed and spinning like a runaway train on a very windy track.

This. SO many people are willing to throw away relationships with folks different from their own and its sad because it creates an echo chamber that doesn't help them grow as people.
