As I was doing that short livestream learning how to draw flames, [@eessll_123](https://mastodon.social/@eessll_123 ) popped me a message on signal. She's tired and wishes ANYTHING would change as donations have almost completely halted.
So I decided to finish this piece like so. If our words are not enough, I hope the art can speak to you. Stop ignoring Palestinians, disabled folk, bipoc folk, and black people!!!

so you're admitting your dumbass hasn't read any black revolutionary text.
idk who you are, but that's a very white assumption to make and shows you aren't in community with ANY black people.
"white people, don't listen to the group of people who have historically and continuously opposed imperialism. let them dismantle it and we'll join when one of us dies"
do you hear yourself?

2026-09-16 14:34:00 UTC

It's quite clear a lotta euro-americans see the development of the Global South and Afrika in particular as somehow detrimental to their own. Hence all the anti-immigrant rhetoric.
This is a self admission, as you clearly know where the comforts you have originated from. How you respond to that reality says a lot more about yourself and the anti-blackness embedded into your psyche.
Reading Walter Rodney rn.
Y'all would be a lot better if y'all read some black revolutionary text.

if you come in here on some “why can’t white people enjoy african music?” I am going to tell you to get Kirked.
I don’t give two shits about you enjoying our music, however creating a whole blog about it (THAT ACCEPTS DONATIONS) as a white settler on the continent is the definition of coloniser bs.

2026-08-17 19:46:09 UTC

Hey just an fyi (because i feel quite silly for only clocking this now), but that African Music Forum account is run by some French settler in West Africa.
I’ve boosted some of those posts, because my ass thought “oh cool, a publication on African music surely it’s an African”
My bad, forgot the fedi is full of colonisers 😑

almost died.
fell off a bike going doing a really steep hill.
cap flew into my face as i was losing control and I fully lost control then hit a rock. fortunately...all that skate experienced helped me fall well.
i got nasty cuts on my arm. thigh hurts. nothing broken. Really thought my life was over in that second. Fortunately the women in my neighbourhood saw me and picked me up with so much care and called my mom.
got discharged from the hospital last night.

got a coffee at this mall then set a 45min timer to skate at the empty part of the parking lot. massive place mind you.
not even 5mins into it. mall security. now I dont like wasting my time with these goobers, so I ask to chat to the manager.

I would just like to remind y'all whities that your queer and anarchist politic must consider those who truly carry the burdens of the imperial world that grants you your comforts.
From the queer souls dreaming of a better tomorrow in Sudan, to the black people in Congo sacrificing their bodies for the devices we write our grandiose think pieces on, the dear friends in Gaza, and to your black American neighbours out there trying to organise and survive every single day.

#Skateboarding log:
- today I just focused on low intensity stuff. practice's manuals on the grass for strength training, then rolled a bit.
- realised I actually don't bend my knees or go as low as I should. practiced starting with close to the ground pushes then popping my Ollie
- noticed that I can pop a lot more stable and even get more height if I commit to the jump.
Guess I was used to watching taller skaters and forgot that I am 5"6 😭
its okay for me to go low lmao

⏰ 16 Days to Go ⏰
Last year Kaede almost had to give up, but fortunately a kind stranger came through and cleared enough debt to allow them to register for 2025. This also meant she spent a full month catching up to their peers. #FineArt is quite chaotic. It's now the final year and it hurts to see my partner going through the same anxieties and stress.
As of now only about R5000 out of the R100k (~$6000) debt has been raided.

being asked to "stop being so gloomy" at a company lunch by this racist, bigot of a genx white lady has to be top 10 worst things to me in my 20s.
this company was hell. the racism abysmal. rampant misogyny.
yet i was good at my job. DUH.
they always treated black woman like villains. and this was a trend. the last person doing my role, a slightly older black woman, was also treated like shit. ask all the coworkers, they'll tell you she was the best.
i hate corporate spaces so much.

Hey quick question- is there a way for me to publish a blog that can integrate both activitypub and atproto?
Like I think it would be so cool to highlight some of the fascinating things I find on my random excursions onto the web. With a very African lense. Nothing crazy tho...but maybe Ghost can achieve that 🤔
Edit: this is not an invitation to shit on atproto or be on some racist shit. stfu.

Dang this piece was one of my earliest "serious works". This was at a really low point in my file, mentally, spiritualy, and being in predominantly white spaces because of my interests.
I felt constantly depressed as I became aware of the realities and horrors of the world around me.
I am a lot better now. Time does a lot to the person. Being in black anach spaces really healed me a lot.

After yesterday's market I genuinely wanted to cry so bad (emotions are still very messy 4 me). I never thought people would look at my art with so much love, and even BUY MY PRINT??!!
So uhh... if you'd like to help me continue pursing my #GameDev journey, please do consider buying my art 🖤 ❤️

"Business leaders are also beginning to embrace AI's development potential. Westprop Holdings CEO Ken Sharpe, who attended the book launch, recounted how he asked ChatGPT-5 how to lift people out of poverty with US$100 000. "It said create village savings and loan associations … that way, 1 000 people could be removed from poverty. So I thought, if I invest US$1 million, I will take 10 000 people out of poverty — and I will do that. It is my commitment tonight," he said."

If there's one person I'll always be suspicious of. It's a white real estate dickhead doing "business" in any part of Africa. Coloniser activities.
Mind you, this dickhead allegedly builds (personally I'm sure he does) on top of our fucking wetlands and has had 100s of lawsuits filed against him:

But its also for very simple animation.

And like yeah, we can be all hugs kisses on the fedi and stand for the same causes- but until you put that white supremacist thinking out the way. Black people will NOT call this home. And you need black people for any meaningful impact.
I spent most of my life just lurking online. Because I never felt comfortable being perceived by the world. Yet I actively post here. Because to me, the #blackfedi is something I dream of bigggg. The #fedi is small, it helps ease the anxiety-

And so y'all do NOT misconstrued me, understand that I am firstly an African black person whose existence is experienced through a trans lense. So while I don't give two honest craps about most uspol- I don't like to see my people hurting.
I barely interact with white people on a day to day basis outside, and its honestly a blessing. Because while my people can be conservative at times, I have honestly experienced some of the most disgusting transphobia from white queers who can NEVER understa-

The fedi is honestly an amazing way for black creators, artists, builders, healers to show all the beauty this mere realm of existence has to offer.
But a lot of these people are just trying to get by. You'll only ever see them in your feeds when its a #mutualaid post or when they are being dogpilled by some racist dweebs.
This is NOT OKAY. And telling black people and indigenous folk to just "run your own instances" while not actively helping them do so is just classist as fuck. Do better.

Staying lowkey, especially in times like this. Like a lot of y'all like to think you're very forward thinking- until a nigga steps into the room 💀
It's like your ancestral rage just awakens or something. Anyway.
The reason there likely aren't a lot of black people here in my eyes is that a lot of y'all don't actually act in community with black people. You have your token black friend and just assume you are immune from #racism and white supremacy.
Don't get it twisted now-

I think there's this unspoken idea that black people do not exist here, or that we would not find the concept of the #fediverse to be appealing. This is inherently just- wrong.
There's very much a whiteness problem here. A lot of purity culture in leftist politics. Like damn- y'all actually do not know how to get a lil nasty while still remaining civil. And it shows tbh.
Like I always try to post to #blackfedi and it feels like yelling into the void ahaha. But I do not blame black people for-

2025-07-23 13:41:13 UTC

Yeah, the fedi isn't looking too good on the whole "including black people" thing 👁️‍🗨️
Like I genuinely am grateful for all the lovely mutuals and interactions I've had, but something needs to change. Preferably soon.
Like yeah yeah, corporate platform bad, short form content bad- whatever. But at least when I open tiktok I can actually feel connected to my people all over the world despite how chaotic and ragebaity it gets.
This is something I can and will honestly go on a little rant about.

I got my hands on this awesome clay bowl from a lady seeking them by the road. She was sitting reading her bible with a lil speaker jamming some music. When I approached her mood lit up and she excitedly showed me all her pretty bowls. In the corner of her stall I saw what looked like a handful of beautiful little scribbles and sketches. I hope she recognises the beauty of her being and art...
This bowl ROCKS- it dries instantly and sits comfortable in my palm hehe
