the design decision to stop the sound is really crazy, at least in my case it wasn't someone programming it to do something silly. Your post is a great example of how even the smallest software decisions can have a big impact on everyday lives, and how programmers should always think of that first and foremost. Sorry you had to go through all that

I believe I saw on a reddit or forum somewhere that this is a known occurrence, definitely not anything to do with your score. I tried to setup a plan with them last month and also ran into technical difficulties on some part of the sign up process so you aren't alone

Inspired by @npub10v4…v3j2 and gruvbox. Which is your favourite colour theme? If not listed, feel free to toss it in the replies, only seems to do 4 options.

very thankful to the crews that worked through the night to get it back up by morning! I was thinking about how that must be a difficult position to staff, they are only needed on rare occasions, but when they are large parts of the city may be down requiring a lot of them!

I thought I was crazy for carrying a headlamp around in my backpack, power outage tonight finally made it seem worth it!

as a Canadian it can be a nasty surprise when you think you're paying in CAD and then the bill arrives and it was in USD. Huge difference, and happens often based on how many companies go "ah yeah no need to have a Canadian shop, they can just order from the neighbours to the south"

If I could go back in time, these would be the five tools that I would tell myself about first.

I really love wiki-tui, allows me to look up something on Wikipedia while writing without having to leave the terminal

I think if I got 3 wishes from a genie, fixing all sites that do this might make the list

What's one thing that has lasted you many years, and that you expect to last many more?
For example, for me it would be my backpack, as long as I don't lose it, will probably use the same one for life.
