@nprofile…xkhf I feel like when the kids that watched this grow up there's going to be a whole internet fan fiction spin off in the where the pups all put their skills to use for the forces of oppression in a dark dystopian future. It might be more coherent and entertaining too.

@nprofile…65q8 @nprofile…es6s does the box hosting it support Wake on LAN? I had a mythtv setup for quite a long time that used WoL frames sent by a script run by cron on a general purpose device to switch the dedicated hardware on when scheduled.

@nprofile…25dv I think personally I'd rather block YouTube entirely than pay Google money for them to keep collecting data anyway.

@nprofile…x759 I'm quite tempted to run an instance, primarily for myself, my kids and the grandparents. Problem is that's squarely in the realm of known to be used by kids, yet it's vastly safer than FB et al that way. N single instance servers seems wrong too.

@nprofile…x759 @nprofile…u5p6 I still think they shouldn't be allowed to offer fixed term contracts for longer than they're willing to fix the price for. Simpler for everyone that way.
