Alpine userland + NetBSD kernel/libc.
It's still a work in progress.

I thought you were joking. Daemonarchy is actually a thing. I hope you get the 10K.

I'm now oficially a spanish citizen. Granted this month. Wife is pregnant. Found out this month.
I'm a bit scared. I'm not used to have a life moving that fast.
Anyways, to celebrate I should cook some tortillas today, and hope the next months nothing interesting happens.

I have little hope that they choose the simplest solution.
Fortunately, "docker" is not a buzzword these days. Otherwise I'd have zero hope.

Ruby and Python have all the conts of interpreted languages and all the cons of compiled ones.
You know it's bad when it would be easier to deploy if it were written in Java.

1. how to pay a monthly donation to omarchy, since they kinda need extra money.
2. everybody knows about the toaster, but how about running NetBSD on a fridge?
3. QMK without potatoes.

Hey fedi. I'm about to board a plane to Geneva. Something that I should visit, besides CERN?

To solve this problem, you and everybody else is now required to upload a gov ID and record a short video of your face.
Mobilek and its 153.775 partners really care about your privacy, and your data will be 100% safe.
Thank you.

it looks like a really good time to install xlibre on omarchy, and then publish an AI blog post about it.
Poeple who don't like it is going to ignore me and keep with thir life, right? /s
I'd know nothing about those two projects without the "2 minutes of fedi-hate".

With a wifi adapter, no less!
I had one of those but it was damaged by humidity and water. I wish I had it now.

to me, the root problem is lack of competition.
It's not like there's hundreds of manufacturers in different countries. There's just a few of them, concentrated in 3 countries from the same continent.
And they choose the better buyer which is currently not the small consumer.

I tried my best, but the clouds had little mercy.
Most of the times, the sun was fully covered. But then they gave me some small windows of time to take some pics.

Anyone here has experience doing a "Wi-Fi box" in NetBSD? I wonder how big is the overhead. Both in user effort and computer resources.
When I was younger I used to run a *very slow* virtual machine with Windows XP while daily-driving Linux. So I could interact with government webpages, banks, University software, etc. Anything that I couldn't do in Linux was done in this winXP VM.
Now I'm getting close to do something similar. A light VM with linux to do anything that I can't in NetBSD.
I still don't truly daily-drive NetBSD: I'm writing this tooth from my Linux Mint laptop, for example. To use the Wi-Fi from this machine, I still need a Linux driver, but I'm starting to pet the idea of a small VM + PCI passthrough to setup Wi-Fi, and use that VM as a router.
Something tells me that battery life will be even shorter than it is now. But it would be better to hear that from people who have actually done something like that.

The lesson here is: you should avoid using MS for e-mail at all.
Spammers happily use their resources every day, and yet legitimate users are often blocked.

The mailop list, a mailing list for e-mail operators, has been blocked by Microsoft, and its operators have no way to contact MS about it.
It couldn't get more ironic than that.

I just learned about Reticulum Network Stack.
Basically, it's a decentralized & encrypted network that can be on top of IP, Ethernet, wifi, LoRa, AX.25 or anything capable to transmit digital data.
Looks interesting.
Gonna test it on some VMs.
