ANNOUNCEMENT: I'M RETIRING THIS ACCOUNT
HERE'S WHY:
This year is a presidential election year in the USA. That means there will soon be political campaign signs *everywhere*
Later this year, you'll see political signs on your way to work, home, or school. You'll see political signs while sitting at traffic lights. You'll even see political signs in some people's yards.
IMAGINE if you could intercept the attention people place on these political campaign signs and redirect it to the most important topic of our time: #bitcoin
With that idea, VOTE FOR BETTER MONEY was born: a grassroots campaign to put "bitcoin campaign signs" in public leading up to this year's presidential election!
@npub1kns…3582 launched earlier this year on January 3 — Bitcoin's 15th birthday.
NOW, after 3 months of brainstorming and testing in the open right here on #Nostr, your feedback has brought me lots of clarity.
Rather than continuing this "bitcoin campaign signs" project under the (sometimes confusing) VOTE FOR BETTER MONEY brand, I'll instead be launching different #bitcoin campaign signs over on @npub18kp…69c4 later this year. Just like the @npub18kp…69c4 stickers, you'll be able to request a pack of bitcoin signs!
This account will no longer be active, and I'll no longer be mailing out VOTE FOR BETTER MONEY stickers or meetup boxes. The VOTE FOR BETTER MONEY website will remain active at least through the end of the year so the stickers and flyers you put in public thus far still offer content to people who scan the QR codes.
And don't worry — you can still request free bitcoin sticker packs from @npub18kp…69c4!
Since @npub18kp…69c4 launched more than 2 years ago, I've mailed more than 51k stickers to dedicated plebs, bitcoin businesses, bitcoin meetups, bitcoin hubs (like @npub1the…4dha) and conferences. npub1t8a7uumfmam38kal4xaakzyjccht4y5jxfs4cmlj0p768pxtwu8skh56yu has even put the stickers in some of their magazines!
IMAGINE how many #bitcoin campaign signs this community will put in public later this year. It's going to be EPIC! 😂
Thank you all so much for your support and detailed feedback. And thank you to everyone who uses these free tools to spread bitcoin adoption. None of this could exist without your support and direct involvement.
TL;DR
THIS ACCOUNT IS NO LONGER ACTIVE
BITCOIN CAMPAIGN SIGNS WILL STILL LAUNCH ON @npub18kp…69c4 LATER THIS YEAR
YOU ALL ROCK 🧡

I'm not expecting people to put these in their yard, but rather in medians and other public places next to other political signs.

2024-03-23 19:22:55 UTC

The goal of this project is to redirect the attention focused on the US Presidential Election to the topic of inflation & #bitcoin
This will mostly be accomplished in the later half of this year as we distribute yard signs that you can put up near other political signs.
QUESTION: Which do you like better as content for the sign?
OPTION 1: vote for better money
OPTION 2: got inflation? get bitcoin
Please let me know. Zaps for helpful feedback!

Do you think it makes sense in the political context?

Kind of like better money is the candidate. Or is it too much of a stretch?

You'll be able to request a free roll of sticker tape. Unroll whatever length you want — from short to super long!

Working on an updated #bitcoin sticker design that adds some additional text + the url to the sticker design.
From a distance you should just see the logo + QR like you do now. But upon closer inspection you should see the smaller text.
The goal is to increase the amount of people scanning it.

Our mission is to show Americans they can vote for better money leading up to this year's presidential election. We do this by distributing free stickers and flyers that you all put in public!
Every sticker and flyer has a QR code that links to an election-themed page about #bitcoin
Last month, 188 people scanned these QR codes and learned that a politician won't fix our problems, but better money will.
SMALL STICKERS — 82 scans
LARGE STICKERS — 76 scans
FLYERS — 30 scans
Thank you so much for getting involved! If you live in the USA, you can get involved this month here: https://voteforbetter.money/get-involved

Thank you all so much for your patience while I paid out all of our contest prizes! I learned a lot about Lightning during this experience:
1. Some wallets limit users to a total balance of 1M sats
2. Some wallets won't accept a single zap of 1M sats
3. When these restrictions are removed, it works great!
Here is the status of payments:

With a presidential election approaching, the money printer will likely start brrring again. That means more inflation for you!
