I have been advised not to use this license for academic works. This license allows someone to, for example, leave the title and author the same but change the content and then redistribute it.
Just a fact you might be interested in.

Famous for such important philosophical advances as,
everyone has a right to property except the native americans for some reason
and
everyone has a right to control their own body except for slaves for some reason

Academia was so much better before Woke. Sure, David Hume was never able to secure an academic job because he might have been an atheist. But at least no one made him use the singular "they"

New paper: Intuitive theories of truth
We connect philosophical theories of truth with cognitive science. We suggest new avenues for research around questions of how people judge statements as truth apt, what makes them true, and whether to assert something as true.
Check it out!

Here's my thoughts about the fake citation thing.
First, it's not really that new. I've seen citations in papers and not been able to track them down before. What's more, there are tons and tons of citations to real papers which claim they say things that they definitely don't say.

I did the thing you are never supposed to do. I wrote a (rough draft of a) textbook: Theories of Rational Decision
It's technical, but from a philosophical perspective. It focuses on the normative theory but touches on some behavioral issues as well.

People often complain that philosophy doesn't generate knowledge like the sciences. Sometimes you even here this from philosophers! They point to the interminable debates in philosophy (like utilitarianism vs deontology) as evidence for this claim.
This is wrong, however.

There's so much polarization around LLMs. They are way overhyped, I agree. But I also use them semi-regularly now.
Here's a thread of genuine use cases where I find them helpful. Please add your own!

As I understand it, Easter marks the day that a holy rabbit laid an egg in the mouth of the body of Jesus, and he was thereby resurrected. Upon exiting the cave, to celebrate this miracle, he hid candy all over the land and made people look for it

New Preprint from Kevin Dorst and me!
"Reflection, Introspection, and Book" is about arguments regarding probabilistic coherence and two other principles: reflection (your probabilities today are coherent with your probabilities tomorrow) and introspection (that you know your own beliefs).
