I can't post about things that matter to me; e.g. all the AI slop peddling going on, you really can't actively engage with in good faith without ruining your job prospects.
The platform has actively cost me one job. I may have been lucky to have dodged that bullet, but I'm again staring down the barrel of homelessness.
So, now I don't do fuck-all on LinkedIn except the surface-level "lol congratulations nerd" on things of colleagues and friends.
Call out shady business practices? Nope.
Call out the CEO of Clownstrike for laying off humans for "AI"? Nope.
Ask why someone is linking the take of someone that "didn't know PHP existed until yesterday", a "journalist" for the BBC whose specialty is cybersecurity? Nope.

Also asking for another mildly informed friend, does hosting a honeypot on an obviously residential IP just mean I'm going to get rando scan activity and drivebys only and nothing interesting to me?
