true, the way I see it:
infrastructure like edge CDNs, HTTP/3, and browser tech like caches, prefetch, and speculation rules all continue to improve the standard way
The SPA approach throws all that away. And RSC seem to struggle with it. Evidently React (and any JS-heavy framework) in practice either way makes it worse (and not just due to bundle size)

sure in some situations, but couldn't you be the asshole in other cases talking about them publicly if they're expected to keep silent? I just think it's impossible to impose implied/contextual rules on social media

well you have the freedom to try, but I don't know how you can have any expectation of the author not to respond (unless you block them), surely they have a similar freedom?

I always treat any third-party domain <script> as hostile without async/defer (or type="module") because it blocks render. Browsers can wait something like 30 seconds trying to fetch them.

unfortunate that this script https://status.lol/sara.js is render blocking, if status.lol has issues that'll effect you too. Can it work with an `async` or `defer` attribute?

Are there any generic search indexers for static websites? I use my own scuffed generator. I want to pre-build an index with a simple front-end fuzzy keyword search (in JavaScript but probably could do a server-side worker too).

true, but I don't consider a 3rd party like esm.sh to be an appropriate solution. JSR could do that itself, though my suggestion was swiftly shut down (lol) https://github.com/jsr-io/jsr/issues/679
HTTP imports had this solved until importing from source was broken by the move to JSR

yes this is one aspect of Deno that is done well. They've even deprecated a few Deno-specific proprietary APIs [1] in favour of standard library pieces built on web standard APIs. Notably the Buffer and Web Stream stuff is in @std is cross-runtime I think (were Node to support those web APIs, I'm not familiar)
