A full node doesn't mine. It doesn't earn. It doesn't speculate.
It refuses invalid blocks, inflated supply and rule changes nobody agreed to.
There is no headquarters of the rules. Only a network of people who check.

New essay on Mizuta's Playground: Don't Trust, Run It
Every Bitcoiner says "don't trust, verify." Very few actually do it.
This month I wiped my plug-and-play node and rebuilt it by hand: Bitcoin Core, Electrum server, mempool, Lightning over Tor. Friction included.
What I learned: a full node doesn't mine, earn or speculate. It refuses. Invalid blocks, inflated supply, rule changes nobody agreed to.
There is no headquarters of the rules. Only a network of people who check.
