@nprofile…2584 Currently, #GitHub still has too many advantages for me, but I will be looking for alternatives next year.

Not loving that I'm getting this from #GitHub on my home network when accessing my own repository from a notification email. I'm not a scraper, I swear!

Let me know if you have any suggestions or questions before I release it next week!

Welcome to the Fediverse, @nprofile…wdxe. I’ve just submitted an entry for Keila as a Mailchimp alternative 😇

@nprofile…lslt Is it really a good idea to rely on free services for these kinds of things? Usually if you’re not paying for an online service with money, you’re paying for it with your data - no matter if it’s a European company or not.
You might want to check out our friends from @nprofile…l7ss for a free website builder and then get some cheap hosting (Hetzner/OVH, etc for ~35€/year) to publish it. https://www.silex.me/

Spammers and scammers seem to be constantly surprised that all new Keila subscriptions are manually reviewed. Turns out: #Meta isn’t using an 8€/month plan to send support emails. 🙄
I deleted and refunded the account before they managed to send a single email.

Oh, how long could changing one line of code possibly take? A minute? Maybe ten? Surely not over six hours! 😇
For context, this line caused a bug when using the inline toolbar in a nested (multi-column) editor. That’s because Editor.js isn’t really designed with nested instances in mind and which is why we have a fork with a couple of small changes like this.

Moderation or user flagging is creating a strange Echo chamber on #Hackernews. I shared @nprofile…gp2r’s post about their massive traffic increase - end even though it got 50 upvotes in an hour, it was only on the front page for a couple of minutes. #buyfromeu #socialmedia #indiehackers

@nprofile…89hy Hmm … your options with Keila in that case are 1) use the API or 2) create an automation with Zapier. Zapier allows you trigger workflows via email.
Else, you probably want something like Mailman: https://list.org/

@nprofile…89hy Ah yes, that was a misunderstanding then. That’s currently not possible, I’m afraid.
Though if you already use Markdown to compose your emails elsewhere, you can simply copy that and use it in Keila as well.

@nprofile…89hy Feel free to ping me if you create an account on Keila Cloud, I’d be happy to give you some free credits for testing 😊

@nprofile…89hy Yes, Keila is specifically built to send newsletters via email.
If you give Keila Cloud a try, you can either use your own email server or our managed Send with Keila option.
It's also possible to completely disable tracking with just one click. You’ll even get a little thank you badge when you disable tracking.
