Is there an official WordPress.org account on the Fediverse? It's unclear to me whether some of the official-looking ones are actually official, since they're not hosted on an official WordPress.org domain, nor do they use Mastodon's domain verification.

The PHP project has put out the call for release manager volunteers for PHP 8.5!
Candidates should be confident about merging pull requests without breaking BC, doing bug triage, liaising with previous RMs, and getting the branch in good shape. At least one candidate should be a core dev who can assess more technical PR's. Others do not need to have deep knowledge of internals but should understand above mentioned points.
Reply on the mailing list to volunteer.

Taylor is demoing #LaravelHerd, a tool to help users get started as quickly as possible with #Laravel and #PHP. You can go from a system without PHP installed to having Laravel, PHP, #Composer, and more installed in just a few seconds.
“Now, if you have a #Symfony app, it just works. If you have a #Magento app, it just works.”
“The Herd menu bar tells you when a patch version of PHP comes out, and it helps you update right away.”
Launching today! https://herd.laravel.com
