That is a wrap on my 5th WWDC. This was a great one. There are a ton of features I am excited to explore and share with you all. On a personal note, I got to hang out with good friends, meet new people, and learned a lot. I'm ready to get to work for the busiest part of my year.

I’m launching something kind of different today: a Patreon.
You’re probably asking, “Why do it now?”
I’ve become very reliant on advertising for the channel to the point where I am not making the videos I want in favor of making videos I know will perform. I hate that.
My goal with this is to reduce my reliance on ads and get back to the mission statement of the channel: showing you all how to do more with the tech you already have.

We're going to be recording the next set of Cozy Zone episodes, and we want to roast our listeners’ home screens. Reply with a screenshot of yours.
We will be recording Dec. 14th at 8 a.m. PST, so get them in before then.

Got the WWDC invite four years in a row. That’s pretty cool! I’m actually not 100% sure I can go this year which is a bummer. Hopefully, but not sure yet.

WWDC is so weird for media. I book a hotel months in advance but I don't know if I am actually invited until about two weeks before the event. I've been invited every year since they started doing an in-person element again so I’m probably good. But I always make sure my room is cancelable.
I couldn't imagine having to deal with fights, especially International flights. I just get to take a nice drive in the Mustang.

Interesting tidbit about the MacBook Air.
Normally, I edit Comfort Zone in Final Cut on my M4 iPad Pro. Starting at 100% battery, usually about halfway to 2/3rds of the edit, I have to plug in my iPad Pro to power. The MacBook Air finished the whole edit on battery with 57% left.

@nprofile…z7vu Interesting! I’ve never not had the option to airplay to my Arc. I have had way more issues trying to AirPlay to my Homepods than I have my Sonos stuff.

Hottest of spicy takes: The app isn't that bad, and after setting up the speakers I never use it. Just AirPlay from the Music app.
I'm just pissed that I bought the soundbar and subwoofer and they were updated _days_ later.
(I know I could have sent them back, but it would have been a thing)

This has been one of the hardest times to be an independent creator. AD revenue is in the toilet, everyone and their mother has a membership so good luck trying to start a new one, and platforms want their cut (:cough: YouTubes 45% :cough:). Even I have considered going and getting a regular job, and I hate regular jobs. How does Apple not see they aren’t taking 30% from Patreon, they are taking 30% from independent creators?? The people they claim to love.
