The future of Kumo is outside of Flathub.
They've made it clear to me that they're not interested in niche applications, so I'm not going to spend more effort trying to make Flatpak work for me.
Maybe one day this can be packaged for postmarketOS properly, otherwise the best solution is to just use the ArchLinux package.

Yeah I've had several calls on my Fairphone 5 and have gotten good feedback from the other parties involved.
Only issue I've had so far is that long calls have been reported to have degrading audio quality over time, but I never actually managed to verify that.

I think I might have figured out why calls on my #Fairphone 5 were muting the bottom speaker on #Archlinux, but not on #postmarketOS:

This kind of stuff is exactly why it's a good thing to have multiple distro choices. I never would have found this if I hadn't been running ArchLinux with a different Kernel version.
Now hopefully everyone can enjoy this.

Because selecting text using touch input is currently impossible with WPE WebKit.
I assume you made this screenshot on a system with a mouse?
That's also (one of) the reasons why the selection colors are so "special".

Apparently the Fairphone 5 microphone not working with automatic wireguard call profile switching was just a race condition with q6voiced:
https://gitlab.postmarketos.org/postmarketOS/q6voiced/-/work_items/3
This means I now have calls working at a usable level with great quality on the Fairphone 5.
Since ArchLinux users must love the bleeding edge, I'm shipping this as default with my packages, so it should work out of the box going forward:

Finally managed to get the modem working on my Fairphone 5. It's officially a phone now.
