Remember my quote about ~grids~ frogs getting fried and us not realising? Here, have the frog dish in all its glory and detail. It’s an emergency not because we have damage, but because we can still prevent incredible harm and should act before we have damage when the damage is as easy and as great impact as this one is to exert.

When the ~frogs~ grids get slowly cooked. You might realise it too late.

@nprofile…npra One question- does the archive publish something like an audit log or a unchangeable blockchain of hashes of stored material in the archive? Or put differently - is it independently verifiable that what is displayed as an old archived version hasn‘t been tampered with recently?

@nprofile…y789 Just taking the Eurostar for the first time now from London to Amsterdam - but why oh why is it rocking left to right to left to right so bad all the time? I feel like this specific variant of Siemens (?) train is super annoying with high speed rocking motion, also in ICEs in Germany :(

@nprofile…c5n8 There are Multi-gauge systems (eg Australia). If they were serious about it, they would probably start with a multi-gauge roll out and then eventually slowly change rolling stock until eventually it stops.
Also, never forget Finland is dead serious about its national defence so if that becomes a real argument, costs and effort will be pushed aside.

@nprofile…c5n8 I have a challenge for you:
Find me a cheap, reasonable, and reasonably fast way to get from Munich to Poreč.
Would also be okay to have a layover in a nice city like Ljubljana or Triest.
When I looked at it, prices are high and it takes long and nightjet is booked out. (Timeframe starting on 20th, 21st or 22nd this month and then staying for roughly 1 week).
Would interrail maybe reduce costs?
