Old phones also work great for this.
I have all my music on an SD card that i stick in the phone. It's easy to move / copy it from device to device.
I play the tunes with VLC and Bluetooth it.

@nprofile…eqsh Cooking really destroys air quality. It's shocking really.
If you want a more slender purifier, arrange those fans in a row and use just two filters. That's how i make them now.
Here's my smaller 3 fan model using a 16x25 filter cut in two. It's excessively portable.

@nprofile…kkfs When i was in public school, a teacher asked if we knew what a baker's dozen was.
No one was answering so volunteered 11 as the answer.
That was the precise moment i learned the answer

Eventually, I sill stop laughing at the "Yellow Snow Warning", but it won't be today.
It also brings back memories of the Frank Zappa song.

Well, in the old days, we put in place social structures to improve society.
Those that benefited from things like education, healthcare, cpp, osa, etc. then made it their mission to tear down those systems so that no one else (like their kids) could.
The rich bought all the media and print 5 million articles a day to convince the poor to vote against their own interests by cutting taxes.
The government did their part by encouraging consumption and going into debt to buy things to support the economy.

The fact that more Canadians are finding it hard to live may mean that taxes are not high enough. We need to tax the rich and the big corporations to generate money to pull up everyone living in the lower classes.
Oh, said the full on greed of late state capitalism. That doesn't help most people.
and food will really get expensive as the environment stops being able to produce food.
We need to give up SUVs and pick up trucks as our primarily vehicles and move to more efficient transport. Bring on cheap Chinese EVs.
There is so much to do that paralysis has us doing nothing.

It kinda seems like the city of #Ottawa isn't bothering to do anything about this 10 or 15 cm of snow.
I stupidly assumed they'd plow the major roads but i guess we have to give that money to OSEG.

The green tomatoes will turn red. Give them time. They won't be as sweet but they will be just like all the commercial tomatoes that are picked green and then shipped 1000 miles in boxes.

Is there a single solar company in #Ottawa that wants my business?
I was talking to two companies last year and both ghosted me. I assume because of my requirements.
I have simplified my desires and neither will even return my email. Two other companies have not even bothered to respond.
So, what is going on here? Are they all totally swamped with business? Are they looking for simple buy high margin installations?
Is there a place in Ottawa I can buy panels and do this myself (or with friends and beer)?

For those Canadians that think joining the US will be okay, think harder. They don't want you - they want the natural resources.
Look at what happened in Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the North American native. That's the US history of conquest. The people are a problem and it's best that they are killed off.
You know all those Europeans that came here after wars? There's a reason for that.
Canadians will be displaced people with no home. Don't buy into any promises. Remember the sign at Auschwitz that promised freedom.

@nprofile…wuyc Sadly, who they need leading them is the person that can win a federal election. Anything less than a win in the next election brings dark clouds onto Canada.
The people are saying Carney and it does not seem like an awful choice on its own merits. As much as I'd rather have an experienced person running the country, we can't have PP run it.

@nprofile…eu3n I'm not sure what falls into the solar category but if we're getting more sun beating on the earth than normal, I'm not sure we should ignore that influence on global temperature.
Even if it's the sun going a bit bonkers like it is doing and we're heating up the planet, it's bad.
But I'll go a bit farther and say that, even if the temperature is stable, we can't let our foot off the gas because the situation isn't getting worse - we need to take the opportunity to heal the problem we created.
Until we can get the planet back to the 1950 or 1900 temperature and get CO2 back to the levels at that time, our job isn't finished.
Mind you, I'm old and think the planet is pooched so destroying it in 50 years won't affect me.

I had not heard that #MPOX was in town (#Ottawa) but here we see that wastewater testing is finding mpox.
Are these numbers high? They don't look high, but I don't know. I have not heard anything from public health about mpox being in Ottawa.
I guess public health really is dead.
