🌟Kira Aeva🌟

I am a totally #blind woman on a continued and most likely permanent journey of self-discovery and personal growth. I am a #musician first, #transcriptionist and #proofreader second. I enjoy #books and #audiodramas of the #scifi, #fantasy, and #horror genres, anthologies included. Note that Kira Aeva is not my legal name, so if I end up sharing something with you from a circle that has required I use my legal name, don't be confused! I'm the same person no matter what.

Hey guys, I'm starting to get my feet wet as a totally blind player in the D&D realm and could use some help finding screenreader friendly ways to create a character sheet and keep track of everything. I've found a lot of things on Google that give links to resources to, as an example, excel templates for character building, but a lot of these don't work anymore. Is there an easy way to capture screenshots using #JAWS2025 so I can send them to someone? Thanks! #Blind #Screenreader #Technology

@nprofile…c44g You should be fine if you haven’t completed the trip. I was told I would get my refund after my trip had been completed.

Okay, so with some voices, the letter M when next to a number gets pronounced as Minutes, sometimes it gets pronounced as Meters. With some, the letter M is just pronounced as M, but then you get other stupid expansions... How do I make my screenreader just pronounce things as written? I hate these stupid expanded abbreviations. #iOS #Voiceover #Blind #A11y

@npub1h9g…fk3l Hahahaha I'd love to, but we unfortunately don't have any vacancies at present. Sorry about that!

I find great satisfaction in marking people who hang up in response to my opening lines or those who don't allow me to ask them if they'd like me to add their number to our Do Not Call list as not interested, which immediately places their number back in the queue for later callback... #WorkPost

I've got somebody trying to create some AI art for me. All the prompts and requests this person has used for the picture, an angel holding a lit candle with vivid blue flame aloft on a candlestick while looking down on a group of people, is telling her that the requests are against the rules. Does AI have a thing of making non-Human imagery or something? I'm very, very confused. So is the person I've asked to do this.

@npub1h9g…fk3l This depends on my mood. My diet admittedly consists of comfort primarily LOL.

@npub1h9g…fk3l Yes. Direct mentions only will do that. You just include all the people you want in that particular mention. Otherwise, there's followers only, which is self-explanatory.

I'm sorry, but I'd never name my child Candida. That just reminds me of Candida albicans, which is the fungus most associated with yeast infections. #WorkPost

@npub1h9g…fk3l More solidly hopeful and actually excited for my future than I have been a very long time. This move has me so freaking stoked!

Okay, #Blind folks, I'm getting absolutely sick of Windows 10 nagging me to upgrade to 11. I'm considering making the switch, but I need to know the pitfalls that an intermediate technology user might run into comparatively as far as navigation and use with JAWS. Thanks!
