NextPost could be adjusted to *somewhat* take into account post popularity, instead of only using randomization, if that would be desired.
Instead of NextPost picking one post from the chosen UserPosts randomly, it could instead choose based on the highest post in the UserPosts, ranked by (say) (favorites + 3*boosts) / (max(followCount, 0) + 1).
I really like this variant, because it still randomly selects users, only taking popularity into account for posts and boosts from the same user. This could help prevent what @npub1f89…5n3y was warning against, while still helping to give you the more interesting posts.

I have an older #System76 #ServalWS with 32GB of RAM and 6GB of VRAM. It's powerful enough to run
[Qwen3.6-35B-A3B-UD-Q4_K_M](https://huggingface.co/unsloth/Qwen3.6-35B-A3B-GGUF ) (a 35 billion parameter model with 3 billion active per token, with most of the parameters compressed to 4 bits per parameter), with space left over in RAM for a desktop environment and a browser. $700 on eBay, was worth saving up for (though I didn't know what I was saving up for at the time).

Ah yes, the Pittsburgh toilet! I was told that it was for miners and other blue-collar workers who need to clean up before they head further into the house.

Boycotting #DHH for being racist makes sense to me. But I see some people wanting everyone to boycott #Ladybird due to its usage of "he" in its docs. It's over the top... "he" in English can be gender-neutral (though that is an older way to use "he"), and many people use it that way with no ill intent (including myself, sometimes).
I prefer "they" personally, but the only thing getting upset at Ladybird is going to accomplish is causing unnecessary division in the #OpenSourceCommunity ....

Found a really insightful Reddit post about the #Commodore64Ultimate and why #retrocomputing has such an appeal to many.

I think so. I think it's important for the same reason archive.org is important: sometimes someone says something they might delete or modify, or which may go offline, which you need a trusted citation for.
'Yes, but' only when anyone manually selects a post for archival (*not* done automatically).
I know this is Fedi-controversial, but I wouldn't design it to be opt-in, because it would only work with public posts (i.e. consent would already be implicitly given). Also like archive.org!

I have a special old keyboard I shall refuse to ever throw away. It was the keyboard I was using while I was working on ["Bode3D"](https://www.golemwire.com/Projects/GVGP/ ), an old attempt at a voxel game I was working on when I was a young teen. I got it far enough that I could walk and fly around and explore....
The funny thing is, it's just a keyboard, one I don't even use anymore, and yet I can't even consider getting rid of it.
Some feelings can only be felt, never described. But I suspect we're feeling the same thing.
