Big kudos to @npub1kgh…gsau for putting in co2 monitors and wrangling the venue tech to keep ventilation at such great levels for a very packed audience

Noticed not one but 2 little rūrūs regularly hanging around in bush behind the house. Maybe they are finally ready to move into the nest box I put up a while ago?

if it helps I've been keeping bees for 5+ years now and regularly take out wasp nests (as a community service and when people call in about bee swarms that more often than not turn out to be wasps).
I still get stung occasionally, and for the very same mistakes (eg no long shafted boots when my suit is a little on the too short end).
It takes a lot of discipline not to freak out when it happens and to think clearly instead.
Granted most of our wasps aren't that bad, but I still do feel pretty silly every time it happens. Luckily a couple of anti histamines clear the worst for me and then it's just a week or two of itches.

in case it's obvious to you and if you've got a minute I'd appreciate your thoughts.
Are these likely gaps in the gnd pad solder?

3 of 5 look less like blob and more like this. All have a tapered corner where pin 1 would be.

Kicad paste layer for reference. I assume the paste has spread and covered the whole pad not leaving any gaps.

Got a bunch of xrays for my latest pcba batch. Does any of my electronic maker friends know what those blobs under the mcu are? They differ for each board but are always visible. It's an nRF52840 in a 7mm aQFN73 package.

it's be best if you could get ai and human looking at the scans independently, but since it's all about cost cutting and not good outcomes, you get the worst of both worlds

Have you ever wondered what's inside your Snapper card?
Removed the hard plastic layers from a broken Snapper to reveal the RF antenna and the small chip that's normally connected to the antenna.
