WE HAVE A BONUS RELEASE!
During our original vetting process for determining the track listing of our live album we cut a bunch of songs; some due to a poor take, some due to technical and stage difficulties.
One song was cut because during the performance a couple of the recording send channels on the board konked out and those tracks were essentially ruined. However, we were able to revive that song with the help of some digital studio magic!
To our surprise, this song happened to be one of the most liked from our EP in #v4vmusic, so we are so glad we could finally bring to you: Cats in the Hall - Live at Rockpile! @nprofile…3cgl @nprofile…0qte @nprofile…v2r3 @nprofile…mle2 @nprofile…56l3 demu #nostrmusic #music

Had some L-BTC in aqua wallet and converted it back to BTC right before BIP 110 fork so I could get more of the forked coin in the future. Like a week later the hack happened and noone could withdraw. I got super lucky. Also, there are some who think that the network is responsible for stealing the coins from them self. 🤔

We have officially been in #v4vmusic and on #nostr for a whole year now! And I (@nprofile…0733) have to say, the experience has changed my life!
We have had our music heard by potentially hundreds of more people from around the world than was possible before! I have formed great relationships with other artists, fans and even got some session work virtually and IRL.
This feels like what the internet should be. You can enhance your connections to your passions, and friendships in a healthy way within a positive environment. How many online spaces can say that today?!?!
In less than a year, nostr has become the space where we have the largest following, and we have blown away our expectations for the space. So thank you to every single person who has shown us support, from technical support, sats, to a simple like or share. We appreciate it.
To close out the rest of the year, we will be releasing the remaining songs from our Self-titled album on both #rss and #nostrmusic. Our most recent release is a song called "The Moment We Leave". Check it out! https://podtunes.app/releases/2f7db41e-9245-469e-a2a8-28272c2f4baa
And oh, if you check out the featured track in the music tab of @nprofile…mpnv you can also have a listen!
Cheers to all you Strange Lovers✌️ https://blossom.primal.net/317ad7ae02415fcb87666f60b7a00c9af8d7b39311bee23eef74b868fc381184.jpg

It’s crazy how much fear about everything the media spreads. COVID, climate change, WW3, AI. When people are fearful they are controllable. And less willing to spread love and more willing to spread hate and fear. I tune out the doom and gloom crap now. No point in listening to it.

I have to say, some of the biggest boosts I have got were from our songs being included in bitcoin podcasts or podcasts that aren’t V4V music related, but add a song at the end of their episode. Bitcoin podcasts seem to have fairly large audiences and obviously listeners have some sats to throw around.

Canadian elections are an absolute joke. Last federal election is huge example. No one knows who Carney is and he wasn’t even living in Canada since he was running the Bank of England. You know your country is fucked when the bankers insert themselves into office instead of simply pulling the politicians strings. I will never vote again in any election. I will vote with my wallet and potentially, if it gets bad enough, with my feet.

We have been on #nostr for 2 months now and gotten to know some wonderful nostriches! We want to do some band member introductions so you can better know who Strange Love is. But first, a band overview: We are 3 guys who have been jamming and writing songs since 2009. We pride ourselves on having a diverse set of influences individually and collectively, and we think this comes out in our music. In 2020 when the world was shutting down, we made a decision to build and record in a home studio and become completely independent such that we recorded, engineered, produced, mixed and mastered our own work. It was a lot to learn, but we are proud for doing it. Now that we have found #v4vmusic, this should be the icing on the cake! Especially once we figure out how to self-host our music. So far we have released our earliest work. Both our EP and the Live at Rockpile album were recorded in 2011. We were 17, 19, and 20 respectfully. We will be releasing much more work that was recorded within the last few years through the new year! We would love to have you along for the ride. Sats are great, but what we really want is to reach as many ears as possible, since music serves no purpose if no one is enjoying it. Stick around for band member introductions over the weekend to get to know our members a bit more personally! 😜 #grownostr #music https://blossom.primal.net/5c1258ea3281806964fef9ec03c896896dcdf3a84204eaf0cc7b0379b138b75d.jpg

I understand what you are saying and appreciate the passion you have brought to this space. Obviously its hard work being a musician, perfecting your craft, and recording songs to put online. But that is the bare minimum. Once you do all that, even if you are on Spotify or YouTube you have to post often, pitch to playlisters, try and hit the algorithm etc. That's all work that has to be put in outside the actual music. I think the same is true here. You have to be recognized by nostriches, V4VJs etc and build some real connections. It would be great if things were streamlined and artists could be put on every music podcast as soon as they upload and be getting thousands of SATs right away but its not the case. Not right now anyway.
