Happy to hear it! Lyn on Etie is a great example of why the emblem system is so interesting and by extension engage is one of the best games in the series on a purely mechanical level. There’s never before been a smart way to make bad units better because it always comes at the cost of not using those same resources to make a good unit even better, which is always going to be the better option because it gives you more options on the battlefield (eg, why make Marisa good by dumping all the str boosters on her when you could make tana godly by using them on her instead? Personal preference is literally the only reason) but with the emblems there’s so many of them and they’re all useful in different ways so giving Etie lyn isn’t a strategic loss because there’s not another unit that really needs lyn to go from good to great, your only competition is if you’re trying at the same time to use another high str, low speed non-tanky unit like alpaca boy or panette, none of whom are particularly great in a vacuum either. Any armor knight with Sigurd or celica is another fun combination because you can move an armor to the other side of the map, alone, surrounded by enemies that he or she can draw a ton of aggro from, actually letting armor knights fulfill their intended purpose. And you can just slap micaiah on any shit unit and have them be a backup healer since you can never have enough staff users, plus it will really up the exp yield, both from great sacrifice and stave exp still being so busted, hopefully making them a less shit unit sooner rather than later. For what I was initially convinced was going to be a really shallow “‘member fire emblem?” Fanservice game I couldn’t be more pleased by how dynamic it’s turned out to be.
