Every body making jokes and I'm sitting here as a born English speaking American at 49 years of age looking at this and realizing that I don't think I have any idea why it's not `willn't` instead of `won't`.
Surely this must have been explained to me in grammar school, but somehow I just internalized that 'won't' meant 'will not' and I completely purged anything related to why the 'will' became 'wo'.
English majors help!
