It seems any economic system eventually breaks as human nature chips away at it. Decentralization of power and money may help stabalize it.
Also, agree that basic needs should be addressed. The amount the US spends on military could be lowered to address this need. It spends more than many countries combined and it fails audits. Addressing this would also lower help in other domains, like welfare, medical care, social security, and housing.
