**The Problem:** Nostropus syncs Nostr events to local relays, but referenced media remains on remote servers such as blossom.band. If a host deletes a blob, the archived note can lose its media.
**The Fix:** Add an optional **“Mirror media to local Blossom”** feature to Nostropus's existing sync worker.
1. Parse synchronized events for media URLs and Blossom references, including kind 1 notes and kind 30023 long-form articles.
2. Deduplicate URLs and download missing media asynchronously.
3. Authenticate using the method supported by the destination Bloom server.
4. Store and verify the blobs in local Bloom at `127.0.0.1:24242`.
5. Track failures and retry, without blocking normal event synchronization.
Nostropus already handles event synchronization. Extending that workflow to preserve referenced media could turn it into a much more complete offline Nostr archive.
The key is making it optional, incremental, and efficient - download only what's missing.
