If the window belonged to a mom-and-pop bodega the act would affect me more – would seem more violent – than if it were the window of a Wells Fargo branch bank. Why? Because I identify with the owners – they’re more like me – whereas Wells Fargo has no actual people who suffer any particular harm. (4/8)
