NEW: The Crown Prosecution Service wins a confiscation order of more than £1.8M ($2.4M) against former NCA officer Paul Chowles, 44, of Bristol.
Chowles stole 50 bitcoin from a Silk Road 2.0 seizure in 2017, when that stack was worth about $77,000.
He had been extracting coins from devices in the Thomas White case, then moved them out of a confiscated wallet.
Thirty of the 50 BTC were later recovered.
He was jailed for five years and six months at Liverpool Crown Court in July 2025.
