yeah I'm not super far into the game but one thing I will say is that the difficulty feels arbitrarily raised by just having bosses deal two damage. This game so far feels a LOT less forgiving than Hollow Knight such isn't always bad. But at times it's just super frustrating trying to navigate a flight where my first instinct is "Is the game telling me I should go somewhere else first?"
