U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has issued an update marking 100 days of the second naval blockade of Iran, stating that the operation has helped “prevent Iran from exporting at least $25 billion.”
CENTCOM says the blockade is applying pressure on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ (IRGC) ability to finance proxy militias, including the Houthis and Hezbollah.
