Interact with enough of the average person and you begin to understand that they aren't led by their own rationalisation but instead by the "wisdom of crowds". If you can make an idea seem popular, no one will stop to question whether it is true.
They're playing off of the mainstream media's perspective, simply echo that and most will just agree because they've heard it before.
I've noticed that these anomalous individuals get hundreds of likes and boosts in very short order. I'm not saying it's bots, I'm saying it's people, who behave like bots. Unquestioning of themselves.
