Moxxie (nprofile…hgtw) we like to minimize available configuration options, as it overwhelms new users; but maybe you can create a symbolic link on your desktop, to the hydrus directory where you store the photos?
You can try out audio calls on desktop by turning on "Debug Calls" in the Advanced > Experimental Features.
