if i actually believed he would commit violence i would have fucked off to a friend's place and called the cops but as it was i wanted to make sure he didn't damage my property. i gambled he wasn't bc for all his raging and weeping and seemingly crazy behavior it was so so obvious that he was entirely lucid and in control of himself, ergo he wasn't going do something that would actually get him in prison. key to this was i think he understood at that point i didn't give a shit if he was arrested
