At some temperature, whatever DM is should equilibrate with other junk. If gravity only, DM would need to be some weird thing like Milgrom & friends.
WIMPs have plenty of space to hide in, and we haven’t even measured neutrino mass yet. I’m not worried enough yet to consider the truly weird.
