well i am not only a master bater i am also a master procrastinater so to be honest with you i am in the same spot in my learning process as i was in 2004 ( that's 22 years ago ) when i studied AI in college
namely here:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZHQObOWTQDNU6R1_67000Dx_ZCJB-3pi
so this is a 10 video playlist / course.
the first 4 were on Neural Networks which is something i had successfully coded ( for a very small neural network ) back in college and that part went pretty smoothly ...
but also those videos are like 10 years old ...
then from video 5 it is more recent ( 1 year old ) and goes into LLMs and that's where every time i start those videos 2 minutes later i end up watching porn for some reason ...
but the point is i am trying to continue where i left off back in college, so for me this video playlist "course" is the right approach, because that's exactly what it feels like - continuing right where i left off.
it also aligns with the way my brain works.
for you or anybody else you have to figure out the right approach for you because everyone's brain and background is different.
i think for most kids today they should just use AI without even asking how it works.
but i wanted to start from the beginning in part because Elon Musk said that you should start with the fundamentals ( in general, not speaking of AI ) and in part because i knew if i skipped over stuff i would always feel that HOLE in my mind because i had learned the beginning already so then if i skipped over to the end i would always be aware of that middle missing.
