I told not long ago to a customer who came with an endless list of AI suggestions to start from the position that his infrastructure is correctly configured and well maintained, that none of the AI suggestions on the list made sense or applied to any of the issues he has and very politely to stop harassing me to implement retarded stuff he doesn't understand the implications of.
The same customer had one of his employees blowing up a critical email server with some AI stuff two days later.
I restored the server, asked what is they wanted done, wrote a small program to do what they wanted in the first place, did some debugging on it on the next couple of days (because you know if they don't know what they are doing I do not know either until I figure it out) and done on just 40kb of RAM, I'm sure that if I had used AI I would have become more sexier and taller, but I am a dinosaur like that.
This morning I get asked by another customer why some service they use provided by a 3rd party doesn't work on their server, and that the AI told them to do lots of things that work but still the service is not working.
So I look at what they are doing it and it became obvious to me that there is not one service but two, and the first company providing with the FW ranges is missing another IP range from the second company in their documentation, something the AI reading the same docs I did can't imagine.
Such is the life of dinosaurs, we're useless folk, just waiting for the meteor to hit us in the head. 😑
