I think that last bit is where I disagree the most. The GPL is a social and political tool rendering industry regulation by hacking contract and copyright legal frameworks.
The reason why you don't want Microsoft to have a free pass to your code is because their size, and political reach renders your economics moot. In short, they will take from you and then crush you with political and legal corruption and market manipulation.
