I finally went to see #TheOdyssey & was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I majored in Classics & my expectations were low given I still haven't forgiven Hollywood for Troy.
Did it follow the poem perfectly? No. Did it capture every nuance & theme? Of course not.
But what Nolan's film did magnificently manage to do is include so many events & ideas in Homer's epic in a single film, which is no small feat.
The themes feel v timely in 2026 w/o being preachy. I highly recommend this one. #books
