In Alabama, we get a lot of grouper, amberjack, and snapper from the gulf. Snapper throats are one of the most popular dishes at the Bright Star, which is Alabama's oldest continuously operating restaurant (on a technicality).
Just don't see a lot of white fish outside of Captain Disease or the grocery store freezer section.
