Just spitballing here - there are ~1 million 18-24 year olds who are currently unemployed, expected to rise to 1.25 in 5 years.
How many people aged 62-66 are currently exhausted after 40+ years of work, but worried they aren't going to survive to retirement at 67?
Could we wipe out most if not all youth unemployment by setting the state retirement age at 62, so that those who wanted to retire, on a full pension, could do so?
