Hmmm...on one hand I can see the point of helping young people who have never had a job gain some experience in what were once considered the normal first jobs (working as a young person in retail) & its good to see the DWP is not going to try and suspend benefits for the duration of the 'placements'.
But it also looks, from another direction as a classic bit of corporate welfare; free/cheap labour subsidised by the Govt. under the cover of 'employability'!
