Anyway, my read on what Gurman wrote is that it's just dividing the top edge into three regions (left, middle, and right) instead of today's two regions, and all the swipes are still downwards from the top edge, with the region determining what happens.
Where did you read that notifications will slide in from the left? I'm assuming they'll come down from the top, like they do today.
