Looking at this photo of the senseless destruction of Santa Elena Canyon just broke me. I had an absolutely wonderful trip to Big Bend NP about 10 years ago and this was one of my favorite places. It has such natural beauty and serenity that seeps into your soul and stays there forever. I just called a friend who was with me on that trip and broke down and cried and cried.
