People who say quantum is imminent are on no more solid ground than that faster than light travel is coming just because we've made things faster than before.
Just like it's unclear that anything can EVER go faster than light (see: Einstein), it's similarly unclear that enough qubits can ever achieve coherence.
Both might happen. But they also may never happen. It depends on the constraints of physics that we just haven't yet mapped.
Anyone who tells you otherwise is spreading investor propaganda that would make Elizabeth Holmes blush.
