"content": "#PhotoOfTheDay is an old snapshot I took of a colorful California king snake I encountered while hiking in the Santa Cruz mountains near Mt. Umunhum.\n\nI've come across king snakes over the years while hiking, but the others have all been the brown-patterned variety.
